ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Registration with TICA
For most registered breeds and household pets, registration with TICA is not necessary to compete
in the cat's first show, but is required for the 2nd and subsequent shows,
and for confirmation of championships and TICA regional and international
awards. Contact TICA for specific registration
procedures.
In order for an unregistered entry to be shown in the Kitten,
Championship or Alter class, it must be eligible for
registration and competition in TICA in the class in
which it is to be shown. You will need to provide proof of
eligibility when you enter the cat. (More
info here.)
ALL Preliminary New Breeds (PNB), Advanced New Breeds (ANB) and
New Traits (NT) must have a TICA registration number prior

Breed or New Trait may enter a show with a "pending" TICA registration.
Household Pets and Household Pet Kittens do not need to be TICA registered to compete.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Household Pets

if you have any questions about how to fill out the entry form.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Co-Owned Cats
Cats co-owned by members of two different households are eligible for the multi-cat entry discounts only
if a Xerox copy of the cat's TICA registration accompanies the cat's
entry. The registration must show the names of both co-owners. (If you are
entering such a cat online, you must fax, mail, or email a copy of
the registration to the entry clerk in order to receive these discounts.)
TICA SCORING
This show will be scored for TICA Regional and International Awards and
titles. Individuals who
reside in isolated areas will have their cats scored for titles under
isolated status. The rest will be regular scoring.
BENCHING & CAGES
This is a bring-your-own-cage show! The
club does have a few cages that are available to borrow; please notify show
management if you need to borrow one in advance.
All exhibitors will be assigned benching. No benching positions can be
changed without the permission of the show management.
Benching requests: Benching requests MUST be clearly
indicated on the summary sheet. The entry clerk will make every attempt to honor
your benching request; however, the club does not guarantee that all
benching requests can be honored due to space limitations and show hall
configuration.
Handicapped exhibitors will receive preferential and
free "front of hall" and/or "end of row" benching, if requested under
"benching request" and
depending on availability. All other such requests will be benched on a
first-come, first-served, space-available basis and for an additional fee
(see Summary Sheet). Please note that special benching is provided on an
as-available, first-come, first-served basis (even for handicapped
individuals). There are only so many "front of hall" and "end of row" spots!
Benching cage details:
- All cage spaces are sold in double spacing (24" x 44").
- Personal show cages must fit within this space.
- All cages must be covered on the top and three sides for the comfort
of the cats. This does not apply to grooming spaces, which are 24" x 44"
and will be available to everyone on a first come, first serve basis.
- You are also required to bring a tablecloth/covering for the width
of your space and to the floor. Table height is 30".
Cage capacity: Per TICA rules, a double cage (24"x 44") can contain a
maxiumum of 2 cats, 1 cat + 2 kittens, or 4 kittens.
Cat Rescues and Adoptions
We have space for several rescue and adoption organizations to educate
the general public and to place animals in their permanent homes.
Sponsorships are also available so that some of these animals can also be
entered in the show and thus showcased. Send a cat to its new home with
some titles too! Rescue and adoption groups must check with show management
about entering cats in the show.
Show Catalogs
An electronic copy of the exhibitor show catalog is FREE and will be emailed
to each exhibitor no later than 24 hours before the start of the show.
Hardcopy/printed show catalogs can be purchased for an additional fee, and must be pre-ordered and requested on the Summary Sheet.
No
catalogs will be available for sale in the show hall.
The show committee accepts
no responsibility for catalog errors due to illegibility or mistakes on the
entry form.
Ring Clerks & Ring Stewards
If you would like to clerk, please indicate this on the
Summary Sheet. We will do our best to place clerks with the
judges they request, but can make no guarantees. (We try, whenever possible, to
keep 2-day clerks in the same ring all days, as this makes it much easier to
bench clerks near their rings.) Clerking assignments will be made once
entries close.
Clerks will receive lunch, plus $50, for each
full day of clerking, and will also receive a free lunch daily, plus a
fully-marked catalog after the show. Clerks will be paid after clerking,
at the end of the judging day; please do not deduct clerking fees from your entry
form. Preference will be given to those in the clerking program.
If you have a child who would
like to steward, please indicate this on the Summary Sheet. We
will do our best to place stewards with the judges they request, but can make no
guarantees. Stewards will receive lunch,
plus $25 per ring, for each full day of stewarding, and will also receive
a free lunch daily. Preference will be
given to TICA Junior members.
If you will be clerking/stewarding and wish to be paid in raffle tickets,
please contact the show manager.
Food and Litter
Cat litter will be provided. Please bring your own cat food, food
and water dishes, and litter pans.
People food — A nearby concession
stand will be open, and there are a few restaurants in the area as well. You may also bring your own snacks and drinks.
